Ferberite with Quartz

Ferberite with QuartzA VERY rarely seen doubly terminated Ferberite twin from Tasna. This specimen is an impressive, fairly sharp, semi lustrous DOUBLY TERMINATED twin which is only seen in a very small percentage of pieces from Tasna. A few small gem Quartz crystals on the side of the piece make for a great accent to this already eye catching little specimen. The back of the twin has a rub which keeps it from being completely perfect, but its more than forgivable

the color of the Brookites is a deep orange-red (best seen with backlighting) which contrasts wonderfully with the black "phantoms"

This is one of the very few specimens of Franckeite that I have seen from the famous Siglo XX mine
