SleepFix, a behavioral sleep therapy app designed around brief behavioral therapy for insomnia, was developed in collaboration with Associate Professor Christopher Gordon, (Research Leader of the Insomnia and Chronobiology program at Macquarie University’s Woolcock Institute). With his internationally recognized expertise in insomnia treatment and digital sleep health, the project aimed to translate evidence-based research into an accessible digital solution.
To fulfill its role as a trusted digital therapy companion, SleepFix needed architectural improvements, seamless functionality, and engaging features that would ensure patients could reliably use the app to improve sleep health outcomes.

BrainX worked hand-in-hand with the client to modernize the SleepFix sleep therapy app for long-term scalability and performance. We began with a deep code audit, migrated to Kotlin DSL, and realigned the architecture with modern Android and iOS standards.
A smart three-tier notification system was introduced to boost engagement. While all updates were delivered iteratively through close collaboration on Slack and Jira, backed by thorough internal QA.
